The Prophet Said to Plant A Garden

One of my fav Primary songs is "The Prophet Said to Plant A Garden" - which I taught in Primary this year. It goes along with the Food Storage goal I have for myself this year. These are the words to this Primary Song:

“The Prophet Said to Plant a Garden,” Children’s Songbook of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 237

Joyfully

1. The prophet said to plant a garden, so that’s what we’ll do.
For God has given rich brown soil, the rain and sunshine too.
And if we plant the seeds just right and tend them carefully,
Before we know, good things will grow to feed our family.

2. We’ll plant the seeds to fill our needs, then plant a few to spare,
And show we love our neighbors with the harvest that we share.
Oh, won’t you plant a garden, too, and share the many joys
A garden brings in health and love to happy girls and boys!

Primary Music

I recently just got release from my calling as the Primary Music Leader in the Lethbridge 11th Ward. Corry & I were thinking about moving in December so we wouldn't have to be apart. It was possible for me to do my classes in Grande Prairie and finish there, but it didn't work out that way - and now I know why. I was called to serve in the ward. This calling has blessed me & Corry's life! I know it has been preparing me to be a mother and it has helped me in my own profession as I teach out in the world. I have decided to get my ownership/teaching certificate for Kindermusik (being in Primary inspired me to do this) and start it up in GP, as it does not exist up there!

I am so grateful for the Gospel in my life. I have no idea how people get through without it. I know it is true, and I know that Heavenly Father is watching over us - we are soo blessed and I am humbled by it every day.
We are excited to have our get-together at our place with our family, ward-family and friends! See you there!

New Chapter - GrAnDE PraIrIE!

I constantly get people coming up to me saying, "So who did you marry?" or "Who is this mystery man?" Well ain't no more! We are finally going to be together day to day, as we are settling up in GP for the next year. We are so blessed to have the job that Corry has to make a good living, especially during the recession. We are so excited to pay off our student loans and go back to school or to buy a house or open up a music store and/or start our little family. I currently have an interview in May, at GPRC to teach at the Conservatory there. Corry will be working on the rigs, and he is thinking of starting up his flooring business again called "Custom Touch." We are so excited to start a new chapter, but also very sad to leave the 11th Ward and our friends and family. April 19th is the big move, so if you happen to have newspaper or boxes to help us pack...bring it on over!!!!!!!
